Growing up in my household, food was not just a tool to nourish our bodies, it was an experience to be shared with family and friends. Food was used to celebrate our culture, to comfort one another, and to bring us together in joy and laughter. Preparing the food was half of the adventure and everything was made with the highest attention to detail.
Discovering that I had a gluten allergy presented a challenge to the way I viewed and enjoyed the foods I ate. I did not want my experience with food to be about sacrifice, whether it was sacrificing the taste for my health, or the other way around. Through a lot of research and trial and error, I have created recipes for all your favorite treats that allow you to once again share and enjoy your experience without any compromising side-effects to your health.
